THE WHY
Chase Mutley was my best friend, my little buddy. He was always there no matter what.
He wasn’t just a pet. He was part of everything. The quiet moments, the routines, the days that didn’t feel like much at the time but mean everything when you look back.
Like most people, I assumed there would always be more time.
There wasn’t.
I’ve photographed so many things over the years. People, events, moments that mattered to others. But I never really took the time to create something meaningful with him. I never had a portrait done of just the two of us. I have plenty of photos on my phone, but nothing that feels special. Nothing I’d want to see every day. Nothing I’d frame.
That’s something I can’t go back and fix.
The images on this page are from the day I brought him home from the shelter. They’re the most cherished photos I have of Chase. He was so happy, and I felt so good knowing he finally had a home.
Looking at them now, they mean everything to me.
But they also remind me of what’s missing.
There’s no portrait of us together. Nothing intentional. Nothing that truly captures what he was to me.
But for you, there can be a different ending.
You can take the time to create something I never did. You’ll always have the phone photos, but not the kind of image that stops you. The kind you see every day. The kind that brings it all back.
Something created by someone who understands what that connection really means.
That’s why I created Chase Mutley.
So you don’t have to wish you had something more.
